Jennifer, a fourth-generation Washington, DC native, grew up surrounded by the city’s unparalleled museums, cultural resources, and opportunities for artistic exploration. She earned a B.A. in English Literature with concentrations in Fine Art and Philosophy from the Catholic University of America and pursued further studies at the Smithsonian Institution, the Corcoran School of Art & Design, the Columbia School of Visual Arts, and the Torpedo Factory. These experiences deepened her love for art and refined her techniques across diverse mediums.
Over the years, Jennifer has explored pen and ink, colored pencil, acrylic, oil, clay, and more, delving into painting, figure drawing, calligraphy, and ceramics. Since 2015, her focus has been on abstract painting, using oils and acrylics to create evocative works inspired by light, emotion, and transformation. Her art has been featured in gallery exhibitions, studio tours, juried shows, and online competitions, earning recognition and collectors across the U.S., Canada, and the UK.
After a 15-year career in commercial real estate, Jennifer fully embraced her creative path. She spent nearly two decades as a yarn dyer, founding Spirit Trail Fiberworks in 2002, where she explored color in new and innovative ways. Today, Jennifer divides her time between Tucson, Arizona, and the rugged landscapes of rural Virginia and New Mexico. These places, rich in natural beauty and solitude, provide endless inspiration for her work.
